Welcome to Vanderbrook Farm And Natural Horsemanship Center!

In 2000, the first two horses arrived at our farm. Two Belgian fillies who had never been touched by human hands. Not the smartest purchase for basically "first time buyers". Forced onto a trailer at 3 months, the sorry result of these actions lead us to find a better way to build a trusting relationship between horse and human. It has been an 8 year journey so far, not without some scrapes and bruises, yet it will continue for a lifetime as we share our passion with you.

Join us in the journey as we promote a better understanding of the equine language. It doesn't matter if all you know is how horses are "traditionally" trained, handled and cared for. It doesn't matter if you don't know a thing about horses. This is your fresh start, so follow along with us as some "old traditionals" and complete "newbies" learn how to use principles that transform the horse/human relationship into something extraordinary!

Come see horses living naturally

There is an Ottawa Valley farm with log barns and views out over the Wilno Hills. Horses run free there and you can learn to communicate with them. Then experience the joy of riding with an new understanding of horse behaviour.
